Tim Brown is a Project Geologist III in GT Environmental, Inc.’s (GT) Westerville, Ohio office. Tim has over 16 years of experience in the public and private sectors in the areas of
Phase I and II environmental site assessments (ESAs), brownfield projects, compliance assessments, and remediation.
Tim has extensive experience in environmental investigations conducted under a variety of regulatory programs including the Ohio EPA Voluntary Action Program (VAP), U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Brownfield Grants, Clean Ohio Revitalization Fund, Clean Ohio Assistance Fund, Resource Conservation and Recovery Act, and Bureau of Underground Storage Tank Regulations programs. He is experienced in sampling techniques for various types of environmental media including soil, groundwater, sediment, surface water, and soil gas as well as the interpretation of analytical data and technical report writing. Tim has experience working with clients and regulatory agencies and has managed Phase I and Phase II projects conducted in accordance with the Ohio EPA VAP, remedial projects pursuant to BUSTR, a landfill post-closure compliance and emergency response projects performed under the direction of the Ohio EPA.
Tim earned Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Geological Sciences from The Ohio State University. He is a Certified Professional Geologist (CPG 11637) under the Ohio Section of the American Institute of Professional Geologists (AIPG) and an Ohio EPA Voluntary Action Program (VAP) Certified Professional (CP390). Tim currently serves on the Ohio Section of AIPG Executive Committee and is the Section’s Newsletter Editor. Tim is also a member of the National Ground Water Association (NGWA) and the Ohio Geological Society (OGS).
